    Special Requirements

    You must turn a preexisting character into one of these special species. There are requirements that need to be spoken about with a GM. GMs may also run specific bounties or events to give your characters an opportunity to become one of these species.

    Special Equipment

    Every Magicae will be in possession of at least one artifact, one that either pushed them to enter the Rift Lands, or one they found there. This artifact does not count towards your character crafted items but still follows your server rank unless the character was made in rp with a GM. Typically when this happens a GM will give your character the artifact.

    Magicae are masters of Forbidden Magic and many possess arcane skills that are both fearsome and loathsome.

    Devourers


    The Rift Lands affect those who wander among their treacherous lands in different forms. Devourers, like other Magicae species, are those that ventured and returned from dangerous explanation. Unlike Void Walkers, that managed to pass into the realm between the real and unknown, Devourers survived the Rift Lands and their twisted magicks. On exiting said lands, they found that normal food and beverage could no longer sate their needs. Instead, out of desperation, they turned to consuming Mana in both pure and adulterated form from living beings.

    Trickster


    Curious beings that have become amalgamated beings of chaos. They serve no one but themselves and will use anything and everything to their advantage. Tricksters may fall under many allegiances, but many only associate themselves with factions temporarily. Becoming a trickster not an easy endeavor; typically the player must have at least 2 Luck and engaged in a number of RPs that highlight their character’s chaotic perception of the world.

    Void Walkers


    In the years leading up to, and directly after Twilight, there was an effort by Sorcerer Primes around the Realm to push back the Old Ones and the evil that summoned them. They thought that by traveling into the Rift Lands they could, potentially, find artifacts and higher beings to help in their quest. Many of these Primes went mad with the knowledge and power they sought and gained in the Rifts and In Between. Those that returned no longer cared for the mortal plight of their old family and friends, and have since devoted themselves to the pursuit of knowledge and transcendence above physical reality.

    Void Walkers are touched in some way by the Rift Lands and In Between. Their physical changes vary widely, from simply an eye or hair coloration to as drastic as extended height and skin tone. These unnatural coloration represent their unnatural knowledge of the world. Although they are technically not a species, Void Walkers (if they reproduce) can pass down some of their physical traits to their children.

    Any race is able to become a Void Walker. Players are able to become Void Walkers through RP.
