Status Change and Effects

Some spells, in addition to damage or independently, may apply status effects to their target like burning or being stunned.  Effects are applied automatically and do not require another role from the caster. The roll is done by the target as a Resist Roll, the DC of which being the same as your Cast Roll.  A status effect will target one of the three main stat trees (Physical Ability, Mana Ability, or Resilience). The target will roll a d20 plus half of his rank in that skill tree. On a failed roll, the status takes effect.  On a passing role, the status fails to take effect but the damage (if any) is still applied.
